Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio is a 2022 stop-motion animated musical delusion movie directed through Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson with a screenplay by using del Toro and Patrick McHale from a story via del Toro and Matthew Robbins. Based on Gris Grimly's diagram from his 2002 version of the 1883 Italian novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by using Carlo Collodi, it reimagines the story in Thirties Fascist Italy as "a story of love and disobedience as Pinocchio struggles to stay up to his father's expectations, getting to know the authentic that means of life." It stars the voices of Ewan McGregor, David Bradley, Gregory Mann, Burn Gorman, Ron Perlman, John Turturro, Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, Tim Blake Nelson, Christoph Waltz and Tilda Swinton.
